Another Way: Imagining An Alternative Old Age Center

What would an old age home look like if it was built around pleasure, purpose, and freedom instead of control?

This participatory workshop invites participants to imagine Another Way, an alternative old age social center that is socially active, accessible, and rooted in creativity. Through guided discussions and collective collage-making, we explore aging as a political issue and art as a tool for expression within restrictive care systems. And in doing so, we reimagine our current and future markers of what constitutes happiness. The session is rooted in collective participation, valuing lived experience and shared reflection.
