The successes of our movements depend on our ability to care for each other. The Netherlands is a rather individualistic society where collective care is hard to come by. Radical Therapy (RT) proposes a self-organized alternative for practicing communal support, emotional care, and practical support in an intimate group setting.
With this session we'd like to introduce people to the theory behind RT (based on the second wave feminist talking groups), practice some of our core tenants, as well as contribute to the broader conversation about self-organized care. We notice that when people find out about Radical Therapy, there is a lot of interest in practicing care while focusing on liberation through action. We hope to share some insights into the reality of this work, and empower attendees to get involved.
About a month after the workshop, we will organize an online session to continue on this workshop's momentum. Regardless of whether people join RT at the end of the session, we hope to show off this example of functional self-organised mutual aid.
Another world is possible! One filled with community, care, and solidarity.
