Activism often demands a lot from our bodies, minds, and emotions. In movements shaped by urgency and injustice, exhaustion and burnout can feel inevitable.
In this 75-minute workshop, the Support & Recovery Team (SR Team) invites participants to explore how stress and burnout operate in activist spaces, and how we can respond through recovery and collective care. Through short inputs, reflection exercises, and small-group exchange, we will share practical tools for grounding, emotional regulation, and mutual support.
The workshop challenges individualised notions of “self-care” and instead focuses on collective responsibility and sustainable organising. Whether you are new to activism or deeply involved, this session offers space to pause, reflect, and reconnect with practices that make long-term resistance possible.
