Diana Cantarey (b. 1994). Artist and fact-ion designer from Mexico City, currently based in Amsterdam. Bachelor of Philosophy from the Universidad del Claustro de Sor Juana, CDMX (2016).
Her practice caresses the borders between art, fashion, film and theory, which is why it has existed in various exhibitions, publications and spaces. Her practice weaves questions about extinction, excess and exploitation, which are based on long and collaborative research processes. She's an active member of different collective art initiatives like the De-reading Group of decolonial studies (NL), the jamming band Tropical Tap Water (NL) and production house El Colegio de la Desextinción (MX). Lately she's trying to find the spell to turn oil into dinosaurs and enjoys playing the bass.
